Refreshments served Chair Fitness Tuesday 11:15 - 12:15 Like most fitness classes, this chair class is designed to improve joint flexibility, muscle tone, alignment, and balance. We fine tune movements of the eyes, fingers, feet, head and engage the larger areas... arms, hips, legs, and torso. What makes this class unique is the added aesthetic of Dance. Moving with an intention, other than just to exercise; and moving with a sense of fluidity, coordinations, and rhythm. In this class we also learn easy short choreographic phrases in the chair which can then be transferred out of the chair moving through space. These kinds of movement patterns which use space in many dimensions (to music, of course!) not only improves brain function, but is also FUN!
